Cellar Ridge Construction is Hiring an Assistant Project Manager Near McMinnville, OR

We consistently achieve sustainable and energy efficient certifications by incorporating appropriate sustainable building technologies into its work including water conservation, energy efficiency, environmentally responsible materials, indoor air quality measures, and sustainable design practices.

Summary

This position is responsible for supporting Project Managers and Field Crew during construction projects and their progress along the way in a timely and cost-effective manner. Project Engineers assist with monitoring cost estimates, schedules, subcontracts, owner and subcontractor change orders RFQ’s and process submittals.

We are looking for a self motivated, positive and professional team member who can take direction well, and grow in to a project manager position. Prefer Construction and/or Business experience or education.

Responsibilities

  • Coordinate and direct construction workers and subcontractors at multiple jobsites
  • Review the work progress on daily basis
  • Ensure supplies and deliveries are on track to keep projects on schedule.
  • Assist PM's with bids, contracts, RFI's, RFQ's and change orders.
  • Generate project schedules and timelines.
  • Generate detailed and conceptual project cost estimates.
  • Estimate materials and labor requirements.
  • Read and understand construction plans and specifications.

Requirements

  • Knowledge and understanding of construction management processes, means and methods.
  • Knowledge of building products, construction details and relevant rules, regulations and quality standards.
  • Must be competent at reading and understanding plans.
  • Proficiency in computer skills, including MS Word, MS Excel, and MS Project, MS Outlook and other project management software.
  • Ability to work with multiple team members.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to seek additional responsibility and guidance from company management as needed
  • Ability to travel between job sites with own vehicle (reimbursed miles)
